Sharethrough is a company committed to diversity, equity and inclusion. We believe the collective sum of life experiences, knowledge, inventiveness, innovation, self-expression, unique capabilities, and talent that Sharethroughers bring to their work makes up the core of our company culture. It is important for Sharethrough to not only acknowledge pride month, but to celebrate it as well, since we as a company fully support the LGBTQ+ community.
With Sharethrough headquarters located in Montreal; community, self-expression and inclusiveness is no stranger to the city. With a strong LGBTQ+ community, as well as bustling events hosted by Fiérté Montréal since 2007, it seemed fitting to celebrate our uniqueness together at our headquarters. When it comes to diversity, inclusion, and company culture, our goal at Sharethrough is to create a safe, supportive, open and inclusive atmosphere for our employees all year round. Pride Month Happy Hour
In celebration of Pride Month, Sharethrough hosted a pride-themed Happy Hour on Thursday, June 16, 2022. Employees got together to celebrate and support the LGBTQ+ community, participating in an event which included: office redecorating, pride themed board games and activities, a do-it-yourself tie dye station, and food and beverages specifically purchased from local LGBTQ+ owned businesses. The event was carefully planned in advance by Sharethrough’s Culture Experience Committee, specifically members of our Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Task Force, who are dedicated to celebrating our diversity and ensuring we highlight important events.
Sharethrough’s DEI Task Force is made up of eight employees dedicated to acknowledging and celebrating our diversity, ensuring that we continuously educate, inform and stay up to date on all matters related to diversity, equity and inclusion.
DIY Tie-Dye Station
Sharethrough culture promotes and embraces creativity and expression. Tie dying is a craft and art form that symbolizes freedom and expression. With the pride flag being made up of an array of colors, we wanted to give our employees a way to create something memorable, meaningful, and something that they could wear to show their support during Pride Month. A do-it-yourself tie dye station was the perfect activity to get employees together to create beautiful, bright and colorful fashion designs!
Fun-Filled Board Games and Activities
What’s a happy hour without some board games and fun activities? As part of our pride-themed 5 à 7, the DEI Committee carefully selected games and events that would bring a sense of unity and meaning to the event. Game setup started with a total redecoration of our company office, with the placement of pride flags on and around the activities. Sharethrough employees participated in games such as ping-pong, washer-toss, connect-4, and beer pong. As a way to gift Sharethrough employees items to directly support pride month community members, we purchased pride month stickers, pins and swag items from Unlistd x Mural, an annual art festival collaboration featuring the work of several LGBTQ+ artists.
Pride-Themed Food and Drinks
As a way to further support the LGBTQ+ community, Sharethrough made sure that all food and beverages for the event were provided by LGBTQ+ communities. Treats were provided by Blonde Biscuiterie. Specializing in cookies and baked goods, Blonde Biscuiterie is based in Montreal’s Gay Village and is a staple of the neighborhood.

Embracing Differences: Encouraging Belonging, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
We believe that the collective sum of our life experiences, knowledge, inventiveness, innovation, self-expression, unique capabilities, and talent that Sharethroughers bring to their work makes up the core of our company culture. We fully embrace employees’ differences in age, national origin or ancestry, race, color, ethnic origin, sex, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, physical and mental ability, medical condition, religion (or non-religion) marital or domestic partner status, and the multitude of other areas that make us all so unique.
More is More
As a global company, with employees situated all around the world from different countries and cultures, we strive to build a diverse team for two reasons. First, more is more when it comes to diversity. This means that the more diverse we become, the more attractive we are to a wider range of people who then want to seek out Sharethrough for their next career move. Why? Because rather than simply add a few new names and faces to represent diversity, we want to be a model for other companies by nurturing diversity to create a welcoming culture for all. Second, thanks to our diverse workforce, we can continue to build and improve upon human-centric products that encompass all users from all cultures and backgrounds.
